The Family and Student Handbook is a great resource to support our families with starting the 2020/2021 school year online. This handbook is meant to be a guide to help parents and students with information they will need in the days leading up to and through the first weeks of school.

Why do I need a Parent Portal account?
The LAUSD Parent Portal is your one stop online tool for important information about your child. Through the Parent Portal you are able to view your child's assignments and grades, attendance, test scores, and much more. It is also important to have access to Parent Portal so that you can ensure that the school has your correct contact information. If you need to update your phone number, you can do so through the Parent Portal.

What do I do if I need a Chromebook for Hotspot (Internet)?
If you need a Chromebook for your child or a hotspot to access the internet from home, please do the following:
- Visit device.lausd.net
- Select LAUSD Parent/Guardian
- Enter the Access Code LAUSD2020.

Complete the online form
You will be notified when you can come by the school to pick up a Chromebook computer and/or internet hotspot.
When will I stop by the school to pick up my child's textbooks, packets, or any other school materials?
A schedule for when textbooks and other student materials can be picked up will be posted on your child's school website.

What do we do on the first day of school (August 18)?
Families will receive a letter in the mail with details about how students will log into their classes on the first day of school. Additional information will be posted here.
